Tragic Death of Teenager: Father Confirms His Son's Fatal Beating by 15 Rancho High School Students

A teenage boy has tragically passed away after being brutally beaten by a group of over 15 individuals near a high school in Las Vegas, as confirmed by his father. The assault occurred on November 1st on Searles Avenue, close to Rancho High School. Jonathan Lewis, the boy's father, spoke with 8 News Now and described the incident as a savage crime. He revealed that his 17-year-old son, also named Jonathan Lewis, was the victim and sadly succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday. The younger Lewis was a reserved individual who had plans to relocate to Austin, Texas with his father. The grieving father expressed his outrage and disappointment towards the fight which claimed his son's life.

He emphasized the concerning cycle of violence, stating, "Violence just begets more violence and these children don't even know what they're doing half the time." The Las Vegas Metro Police Department's homicide unit is actively investigating the incident, although no arrests have been made at this time. Lewis hopes that this heartbreaking event will spark a much-needed conversation about youth violence in the Las Vegas valley. With a heavy heart, he expressed his desire for the individuals responsible to find forgiveness within themselves and come to terms with the consequences of their actions.
