New York residents outraged about construction projects still in progress during global pandemic

New York has been the hardest hit state in connection with the coronavirus with over 200,000 confirmed cases and over 10,000 deaths. However, some residents in New York don't believe that every company is recognizing the seriousness of the times.

According to a recent article, written by ABC News 10 reporter Johan Sheridan, their news station is being flooded with e-mails and calls from angry New York residents in the Capital Region area who are upset that some construction projects are seemingly defying New York's stay at home order.

Governor Andrew Cuomo of New York ordered the shutdown of all non-essential businesses in the state on March 22, but residents in the Capital Region have expressed concern to ABC News 10 after seeing multiple construction projects continue.

In a press conference held on March 20, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that companies violating this mandate would have fines imposed on them.

Those wishing to file a complaint against their employer or a company violating a state-mandated 'stay at home' order are encouraged to visit your local state website for reporting guidelines and online forms.
