Maskless Woman Tased, Arrested Kid Football Game in Ohio

A maskless woman was tased by a police officer while attending an 8th-grade football game in Ohio.

In the video, the woman recording the video alleged that it was over the fact that the woman did not have on a mask but police are telling a different story.

In a statement released by the Logan Police Department, they stated, "It is important to note, the female was not arrested for failing to wear a mask, she was asked to leave the premises for continually violating school policy." The reported added, "once she refused to leave the premises, she was advised she was under arrest for criminal trespassing, she resisted the arrest, which led to the use of force."

The report concluded, "This is an unfortunate incident for everyone involved." Adding that "the incident remains under investigation."

The woman arrested has been identified as Alecia Kitts, who refused to comply with officer Chris Smith after he asked her to leave the premise. After refusing to leave school grounds, Smith asked Kitts to put her hands behind her back. When she refused to comply, Officer Smith tased her and completed the arrest.

Kitts has been charged with criminal trespassing and additional charges may follow for Kitts and another woman who interfered with the arrest.
