Israel orders evangelical Christian media network to take channel off-air

The Christian broadcast news channel was ordered by Israel's regulators to take their channel God TV off the air, citing that its aim was to persuade Jews to become Christians.

"An examination of the council's supervision wing shows that the channel does not appeal to the Christian population in Isreal, but rather to the Jews. Therefore, the characterization of the channel submitted for approval does not reflect it's broadcast," the council said in a written statement.
