Dutch police decrypt IronChat messages

IronChat is an app often used by organized crime to encrypt (hide using code) messages and move with their illegal, day-to-day operations.

However, police in Netherlands have found a way to decrypt more than 258,000 messages. IronChat is simply an app which a high membership cost that can only send or receive text messages.

Even NSA leaker Edward Snowden has said on recored “I use PGP to say hi and hello, I use IronChat (OTR) to have a serious conversation.” Investigators still haven't revealed how they were able to decript the messages.
